What makes Eclipse better than other Chat Apps?

What is a Star Wall?

As a new user you are not given a star wall which means that anyone who wants to send you a private message is able to do so. If you would prefer to have a wall please go to Settings – Security and Privacy – Setting the Amount under "Who Can Message Me". Set the amount you would like people to pay you in stars (Eclipse Currency) to gain access to a dm with you. This will add you to their friends list. Please note that no user will be added to your friends list automatically it is not synced so if you would like to keep chatting feel free to add them right back. Eclipse gives you the right to either accept messages from other users on the app by lowering, removing or increasing your wall at any time and you do not need to have any stars to set this up. Should you wish to receive private messages from any user on the app at any stage you can set this back to zero.

How Do I Get a Special Avatar That is Not in the Available List to Choose From?

What is Eclipse Premium?

• Eclipse premium is a weekly in-app purchase of added features and benefits for our users. To find this, go to Settings – Account – Tap on Eclipse Premium. The cost of this is 10k stars per week. Please check if you would prefer to auto-renew or rather have this as a once-off trial.
• Some great features on Premium are:
  • You can hide your online status.
  • You can see other users' country flags of where they are from.
  • You can change your bubble color.
  • You can see a list of who views your profile by tapping on the feet icon next to your name in settings.
  • Your daily reward is doubled.
  • Premium stickers.
  • And many more features to still come.

How do I get cool stickers?

• Go to Settings – Account – Purchase Stickers.
• Here you will be able to see the full pricing and all stickers available to purchase. You can see a preview of the stickers by tapping on one of them, and the expansion pack will show all stickers in that pack.
• We will be adding more stickers from time to time, so keep an eye out for any changes.

How Do I Change My Bubble Color?

• In order to change your bubble color you would first need to purchase Eclipse Premium.
• Your account starts off as Monochrome – which is the grey dark mode setting. If you would prefer the brightly colored bubbles, go to Settings – Appearance – Bubble Colour, where you can use the color toggle to slide along to your desired preference.
• After your premium expires, this will not change your bubble back to the default Eclipse Blue. However, should you uninstall and reinstall the app, your bubble may change back in this process.

How Can I Favorite a Specific Room?

• To start off, we suggest you stay joined to all the Official Eclipse Default Rooms – these are very useful and always provide up-to-date info on news, polls, prizes, and updates. To search all rooms, in the search bar type the word "all" followed by the enter or return button on your keyboard. Please note if you do not hit return you will not see the rooms.
• We suggest you take a look around by searching in the main search bar on your home screen to see what rooms are available and where you feel most comfortable. Should you like a room, you can join by tapping on the room name, then looking at the bottom of your screen and selecting the JOIN button. Once joined, you will be able to type in the room.
• Please note that private rooms are not viewable in this list and are upon invitation only. Should you know of a private room you wish to be invited into, kindly request entry by the Room Owner / Admin of that room through PM or wait to be invited individually.
• Should you prefer not to have the room on your list anymore, tap the settings wheel on the room you would like to leave, scroll to the bottom, and tap on Exit Group. You will be exited from the room and your name will be removed from the room list.
• To pin a room, you will need to have joined the room. From your main screen and unfiltered search, you can swipe from right to left on the outside of the room name to pin it.

How Do I Make My Own Room?

• This option is not enabled at all times due to app activity and availability/selection. Should this be enabled, you will be able to see a "People" icon on the top right of the Home Screen. You can tap on that and make a room. There are two types of rooms:
  • Public – where anyone can view what is said and seen in the room by using the search function mentioned above.
  • Private – where you would need to receive an invitation to view and chat in the room. Please note that once a room is Private, it cannot be made public. Should you have an issue with any of the above, contact Boss, who will assist.
• If the "People" icon is greyed out, you will need to send a private message to ıllıllı BOSS ıllıllı, informing them you would like to make a room. Ensure you tell them what the room will be about, and a room will be opened up at their discretion.
• Should you want a private room link made that you can share with your friends on or off the app, please message ıllıllı BOSS ıllıllı with your room name. Indicate whether you would prefer a direct room link or an approval-based join link, where potential members go to a queue and have to be authorized entry manually by a room admin. Please note that in order for changes to be applied, you would need to return to your main screen and REFRESH. You can do this by simply pulling down from the top of your screen for it to take effect.

How Do I Gift Someone In The Rooms?

• "Stars" is the currency of Eclipse. You need to have a minimum of 500 – 200,000 stars to gift someone. Just long press the speech bubble of the person you wish to gift in the room and select "send gift".
• Select the gift you want to send them, and you can now input a personalized message to go with it, should you choose.
• This option is not available by tapping on a gif, voice clip, or stickers, but only on text and images in the room.

How Do I Gift Someone In PM?

• Once you are in PM with your friend, tap the paperclip on the bottom of your chat with them. This will now give you the option to send them a gift.
• Tap on this icon and select a gift you would like to give them, following the same process as mentioned above.

How Do I View What Gifts I Have?

• You can view your gifts like any other person's gifts, which is to click on your own avatar from settings. You can then either slide your gifts along or tap on one of them to see a list view.
• You can also redeem gifts for more stars by doing this: tap the … (three dots) next to the gift and tap redeem. It will show you how many stars each gift will give you.
• Remember, once redeemed, the gift will be removed from your list of gifts.

What Are Gifs and How Do I Get Them To Work?

• If you would like to make a Gif, type the following into the text bar in any room:
  • /gif
  • Then, select the pop-up option displayed on the screen by tapping on the option /gif.
  • Once you return to the text box, you will need to now provide a keyword/what you would like the gif to be about. For example: /gif cars.
  • Tap the send button and wait for the magic to happen as the system automatically selects a random gif based on your request. Please note that this is a completely random computer-generated program and isn't always "spot on," but definitely leaves a whole lot of room for laughter.

How Do I Earn Stars?

• There are a few ways to earn stars:
• If you refer a friend to this app, you will receive 5K* stars. Each user is given a unique Eclipse ID, which you can view on your profile page. Give this ID to your friends and inform them to include this on the initial sign-up page in the space marked "Referral Code." Once they are active in the app and have put your code in, you will automatically receive 5K added to your account. The new user will also be credited with 5K in stars for using your code to join the app. Note: Your ID can be changed if you are an Eclipse Premium user. To change this, go to Settings – tap Account – tap on your username to amend it to an easier, more user-friendly name.
• Typing /reward and tapping send in a room will give you a daily reward. This reward is totally random and only given every 24hrs. The amount of stars you can be awarded is between 1-999 Stars if you do not have premium or 1-1999 if you have activated Eclipse Premium.
• You can redeem your gifts for stars. If you've gotten gifts from people on the app, you can choose to redeem one or a few or all of them for stars. The only non-redeemable gift is the "poop" gift. If you've been given that, you're stuck with it, and you would need to spend 15K stars to remove it. Note: Once a gift is redeemed, the gift will be removed from your list of gifts.
• You can buy stars. The stars range from 0.99 US Dollars to 49.99 US Dollars, with which you can get 1000 to 50K stars. There is no limit to purchasing stars.
• Our chat-to-earn stars rewards are a great way to earn stars while you keep in contact with your friends. You can earn stars by typing a standard message in a room, posting a gif, sending a voice message, giving someone a gift, creating a poll, or posting a picture. You can now get stars for stickers too. All of these are calculated automatically on the app, and all you need to do is enjoy the app. When you are ready to collect your "Rewards," tap the Settings wheel, then tap on the Rewards icon. There you will have a breakdown of what stars you have earned thus far. At the bottom, you will have an option to "Redeem Now". Tap on this if you would like to add these to your existing stars or keep chatting to watch your rewards grow. Note: These rewards do expire, so please keep an eye on the expiration date of your stars if not redeemed.

How Do I Block Someone?

• To block a user from sending you a DM, you need to go into a private message with them, click on their avatar on the top right corner of the window, which will take you to their profile. Then, click on the three dots on the top right corner of their profile and select "Block User". This will ONLY block the person in DM and not in public rooms. You, the blockee, will be able to message the blocked user, but the blocked user will not be able to reply.
• Should you wish to block someone and not see them within the app in private/public rooms, tap on their avatar FROM within a room, then tap on the three dots on the top right corner of their profile and select "Block User".

What Happens When I Block Someone?

• When you block someone, you can still continue to send them private messages, which they will receive, but they can't respond to you. You will only be stopped from messaging them if they block you too.
• You will not be able to view their messages in public rooms. However, the blocked person can see your messages unless they block you as well.
• To unblock the user again, you will need to go to the Settings wheel from your main page, then tap on Account, and then tap Blacklist. From there, you will see a list of all users you have blocked in rooms on the app. To remove a person from this list, swipe on the user you want removed and tap delete. They are now removed from your room block list, and you will now be able to see their comments again.

If I feel I am being bullied/harassed, what should I do?

• You should take screenshots of the bullying/harassment and send them to an Admin directly (please include the Username, which can be found on the person's profile next to the @ symbol) with a brief explanation of the details and ask them for help on the matter. Should the Head Admin ıllıllı BOSS ıllıllı not be available, speak to any of the App Admins on the app. Each case is different, and whether they decide to mediate and resolve the issue or ban the offender would be up to them. Please remember to divulge any evidence or proof of bullying, as hearsay is not enough to go on. Eclipse administrators are not mediators and will not mediate in disputes between parties. The decisions of an admin are final and are based on their discretion.
• You can also use the report function where you tap and hold on the person's name in a group chat you would like to report, and the option to report comes up. You will then be able to select from a pre-determined list of options. These options include:
  • Spam
  • Violence
  • Pornography
  • Child Abuse
  • Underage
  • Other

How do I become an App Administrator (Admin)?

• Should you wish to become an App Admin, you are required to have been on the app for at least 6 months, have a good reputation, be active, and be an unbiased upholder of the rules. You will be asked to send in an application to ıllıllı BOSS ıllıllı, and he will guide you through the process. Should you be considered, we have a policy in place where we monitor prospective admins, placing them in a "Silent Admin" capacity role where he/she will function "silently" within the app, removing offensive posts, providing daily brief updates, and proving themselves by reporting to ıllıllı BOSS ıllıllı and the App Admins on the daily.
• We then, if a position becomes available, would promote the user to full App Admin, should the app require. Decisions are purely based on merit and previous conduct. We strongly oppose favoritism. Eclipse reserves the right to add or remove an admin at any time should the admin be found in breach of agreement.

How do I contact an App Administrator?

• Usually, you will see any number of these people talking in the rooms on Eclipse. They are identifiable by the prefix App Admin next to their name in any Room or by going to the info button on the welcome room and looking at the Administrators of the room in the room description.
